“Wasatch Flash GU16 won this year’s President’s Cup. Every game was a battle. Every team was placed higher than us in league play and we suffered several injuries. The girls lost a narrow first game 1-0 to La Roca DT, but it only served as motivation for them to work harder and battle back. This team has always been more technically skilled than their opponents but had yet to combine that technical ability with physical play. This tournament saw the two come together beautifully. And in poetic justice fashion, we were able to meet back up with La Roca DT in the final and win 1-0 to claim the championship. We head to Boise, ID for the regional tournament in June. Congratulations girls!”

Wasatch Flash girls U8 team took second place in the Striker tournament playing in the U9 silver division. Even more impressive, at the conclusion of the tournament, the girls found out that they had performed over 500 dribble moves over the course of their three summer tournaments. Goal is to get 500 or more during fall season. Great job girls, way to represent Wasatch you have displayed creativity and confidence on the ball.
